Entry into Venue: Please follow these instructions to gain entry:
OPPOSITE DOOR 4 IS THE MEETING POINT FOR EVERYTHING
For events beginning at 10:00am Meet at 9:15am
For events beginning at 11:00am Meet at 10:00am
For events beginning at 1:30pm Meet at 12:30pm
For events beginning at 2:00pm Meet at 1:00pm
If you wish to come at an earlier, feel free to come to an earlier meeting time.
Each competitor will be given a wristband to put on to gain entry – you will need to put it on and show the security at the entrance.
When you enter the hall turn left and follow the wall to get to the fencing area. I have attached a map for you.
If you get stuck, or are late – please call or sms me on 0437 944 239
There will be hundreds of people milling around the entrance (in the morning mainly). There are long queues but you will not have to wait in them, if you see another fencer (or more) just group together at the meeting point to make life easy. During the day there will be large crowds inside so be patient and above all, have fun as you showcase our sport to many who will not have seen fencing at all, much less up close.
We also have an area on the side for bags and a ‘Kids Come and Try’ so if you have time and would like to show some people some fencing, there’s plastics available in the area too.
There is parking on site – I suggest you book in on the Wilson parking book a bay site, the carpark is on Normanby Rd and according to the is called the MELBOURNE EXHIBITION CENTRE car park. There’s also nearby parking at DFO & Crown
We’re right next to some food trucks with some seating if you get peckish!
Lastly, THANK YOU all for your support of this event, the FV Executive spends many hours putting these things together and to have all of you come and be part of it is a great way of showing us you appreciate what we do!
