The Bearcats are coming off a mixed weekend, where on Saturday it saw them beat the South Adelaide Panthers but the next day saw them lose to the Sturt Sabres. It could be argued that they used all their gas up on Saturday as Jasmin Fejo put up 40 points. Norwood is coming off a loss as well as they gave up a 19-point half time lead to lose by 12 points. Two weeks ago Norwood got off to a slow start and had a dominant second half to win the game, last week they got off to a fast start only to falter in the second half. Coach Morris will want a four-quarter performance.
Hang Time Prediction: West Adelaide Bearcats
Norwood will be going into this blockbuster game with a huge confidence boost after their thrilling 82-81 Round 3 win over the Rockets. The team’s defence was outstanding over the weekend, giving North no airspace and coming up with timely steals and blocks. Webber, Brine, Legan, Long and Matthew Lycett were all strong across the board, combining for 78 points on offence, and 5 blocks and 7 steals on defence. West Adelaide were also impressive in Round 3, defeating both South Adelaide and Sturt back to back. The team was brilliant on defence throughout the round but also showed how deadly they can be as an offensive unit, with Jefferson, Rennie, Spadavecchia, Hayward and Thomas all sharing the scoring load over two games. This matchup between two clubs who play top-drawer team ball on both ends should be extremely entertaining and could really go either way. However, it is tough to go past Norwood at this stage.
