Week in Review - Six Harbour players in Tall Blacks Squad plus more outstanding College performances
Phil began volunteering whilst still at school. Sixty-three years later he is still giving back to the game he loves.
Tony’s coaching has touched thousands of young players across the years, amongst them virtually every Harbour player currently on a basketball scholarship in the States.
All of these players will speak fondly of Tony’s influence. Here we take a look at how they are faring.

Five of the teams boast a 3-1 record following the first tournament held in Christchurch early last month and barring a collapse in form should have no problem securing a top six berth and a place in the play-offs.

It was a classic 4 days of ‘age group’ basketball, with a total 38 teams from around the country competing for U17 Girls and Boys National honours.
The BBNZ proposal for the selection of age-group and Koru squads is focused around the selection of a small number of age-group players at each age-group, and their subsequent placement into the appropriate squad (NZ or Koru). This will help to make it much clearer for those

We have competitions happening on Saturday and Sunday for the U15 and U17 teams that did not qualify for Nationals. This will see 14 teams compete in 2 days of tough basketball.
Saturdays games will be played at the NSEC and Sundays games will be played at the Breakers facility...

The tournament has 1,700 competitors covering 17 sports from 30 nations and runs from the 16th-20th January.

What a great year for those two plus our Harbour Boys... We won U17 Nationals and now getting it done in 3x3!
The Harbour Basketball Boys team won the 3x3 Club Competition in Coffs Harbour. Congratulations to Denhym, Levi, Luuk and Harrison and Coach Zac Fitzgerald for a great showing.
The Harbour Girls finished a very respectable fourth.
