Football Queensland Wide Bay Transition
Football Queensland Wide Bay are pleased to announce details of the transitional board that will be responsible for establishing the governance framework of football within the Wide Bay Zone.
At the Extraordinary Meeting held on 18 February 2017 in the Wide Bay a resolution was passed unanimously by the attending member clubs and proxies to remove the constitution of Football Wide Bay Inc and replace it with Football Queensland Wide Bay - a company limited by guarantee.
As a result Football Queensland has begun a transition from the Wide Bay Incorporation to Football Queensland Wide Bay (FQWB). This included the establishment of a transitional board that are now meeting on a regular basis and consists of the following:
- Stuart Taylor
- Peter Guest
- Daniel Sanderson
- Chris Biden
- Peter Smith
- Craig Brown
- Toni Biden
- Lisa Desmond
The objective of the transitional board, is build capacity of FQWB in delivering a strong governance framework for football in Wide Bay and progress towards annual general election for full term positions of FQWB within 12 months. This process will involve working with the FWB committee in achieving this outcome. Our key objective is to ensure that the recommendations identified in the Football Wide Bay Governance Review are implemented.
