Jennison Double Sees Heat Beat Thunder

Josh Jennison's brace has lifted FNQ Heat to a 3-1 victory over South West Queensland Thunder at Clive Berghofer Stadium on Saturday night.
In a repeat of their impressive performance last weekend, Heat controlled the game with a number of near chances, before Jennison twice headed his team into the lead.
Thunder had their own chances and Blair Ferguson's goal just after half-time ensured the game remained tight, but Mqondisi Nkiwane's 83rd minute shot put the game beyond doubt.
FNQ Heat stay on the road next weekend, looking to topple ladder leaders Gold Coast City, while Thunder host Brisbane City.

3' - CHANCE FOR THUNDER - From a right-side corner, Mustafa Jafari volleys the ball from the back post but fires it well over the crossbar.
7' - CHANCE FOR THUNDER - Jafari's long cross from centre field finds Anthony Grant open at the edge of the box, but the attempted volley goes over the goal.
9' - GOAL FOR HEAT - Thunder fail to clear from a left-side corner and the ball falls to Jamie Carroll who crosses it into the box, with Josh Jennison heading the ball into the top right of the net.
24' - CHANCE FOR HEAT - Lorenzo Sipi's long ball into the box from 35 yards out inadvertantly becomes a cross as it floats over the keeper and skims the outside edge of the left upright.
41' - CHANCE FOR HEAT - Carroll beats the offside and tries to lift the ball over Luke MacDonald, who makes a brilliant reaction save.
47' - GOAL FOR THUNDER - Keagan Sheridan's cross finds Jafari whose shot is saved, only for it to rebound to substitute Blair Ferguson for an easy tap in.
51' - GOAL FOR HEAT - From a long free kick 45 yards out, the ball goes over all the defenders and skims the head of Jennison into the bottom right of the net.
83' - GOAL FOR HEAT - Bronson Koppen's cross from the left meets the head of Mqondisi Nkiwane, who puts the ball into the bottom left.
