Brisbane Roar Youth players could be thrust onto the national stage on Wednesday night after being named in Roar’s extended Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 squad.

Roar play Perth Glory in their first ever home tie in the national knock-out competition and coach John Aloisi’s extended squad includes several stand-outs from this year’s PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues.

Amongst the selections in the 23 player squad announced earlier this week are defenders Cameron Crestani, Connor O’Toole and Mark Rogic, midfielder Nathan Konstandopoulos and attacking outlet Joseph Champness.

The contingent are joined by high profile Roar stars Matt McKay, Thomas Broich, Michael Theo and Jamie McLaren.

The Young Roar alumni have come into Aloisi's calculations for the tie after being part of Roar’s Hyundai A-League pre-season preparations over recent weeks.

A win for Roar will see them become the third Queensland side to advance to the Round of 16, along with local PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues clubs Brisbane Strikers and Redlands United.
