Two more Palm Beach SC Premiership winners will return with the club next season, with Jonathon Camilleri and Jack Boxell signing on for the 2015 season.

Camilleri, 20, and Boxell, 22, were key contributors to Sharks' success in 2014 – making a combined 40 PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland appearances for the Grand Final and Premiership winners.

Boxell struck the third goal in the 2014 PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Grand Final, as well as the match winner against Victorian fourth-tier club South Springvale in the Westfield FFA Cup at Cbus Super Stadium.

Sharks coach Grae Piddick said he expected both players to figure prominently in next year’s title defence and explained Camilleri was one of the club’s unsung heroes in 2014.

“Jonno started the year like a house on fire. A lot of goals we scored were from his passes and he had the most assists in the team,” Piddick said.

“He didn’t score many goals himself but he had a hand in a lot of goals and from that point of view I’m very happy to have him back.”

Boxall was recruited from Brisbane Strikers part way through the campaign and struggled to break into the first team before delivering game-changing turns in the latter stages of the season.

“Jack was a player we brought in after a few games because we needed some left-sided defenders and we had such a good start he found it hard to get into the team.”

“But he forced his way in and really came good for us second half of the year and I really expect him to continue that from the start of next year,” Piddick concluded.

The pairing lift Sharks confirmed list of returning players to seven. Theywill join skipper Justyn McKay, defender Eoghan Murphy, striker Jarrod Kyle and promoted Under 18 players Ben Butler and Ethan Grimley in next year’s squad.
