Heat, Fury Prepare To Face Local Clubs

PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues clubs Northern Fury and FNQ Heat will commence their Westfield FFA Cup 2016 campaigns against local third-tier opponents in coming weeks.
Both clubs enter their respective qualifying zones in the Westfield FFA Cup Preliminary Round 5 and will meet each other in a blockbuster Townsville-Cairns derby in the next round if they secure wins.
Fury will play against North Queensland Premier Men's outfit Rebels FC after they eliminated MA Olympic on Wednesday night.
Heat will face off against Far North Queensland Premier Men’s side Edge Hill United after they comfortably accounted for Innisfail United in the previous round.
Heat are seeking to qualify for the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 for a third straight year, while Fury have twice been eliminated from the competition by the Cairns club on their previous marches to the national stage.
Both sides are experiencing markedly different league campaigns this season – the undefeated Heat topping the table while Fury are in last place and without a point so far this season
Heat claimed bragging rights in the league last weekend with a comfortable 4-1 win over Fury in Cairns.
