Veteran striker Royce Brownlie will return for Moreton Bay United in PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland with a lofty aim – reaching 100 goals in the competition.

Brownlie holds the record for the most career goals in PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland – finding the back of the net 64 times in 66 league appearances for Jets since 2013.

Despite lifting the Premiership and Championship trophies as Jets captain last season - and also claiming the 2014 Golden Boot award - Brownlie said he has sights set on another goal before he hands up the boots.

“I will be trying to play as much as I can and, for a personal goal, I want to try and reach 100 goals,” Brownlie said.

“Personally that’s something that I would like to achieve but I would also like to go further in the FFA Cup and win the league again as well."

“I would really love to do the treble so to speak before I close the doors down on my career.”

The former National Soccer League and Hyundai A-League star will be 36 by the time next season kicks off, but insists he has no intention of slowing down.

“That drive to win is a hard one to shake and the lucky thing for me is the body is still holding together,” Brownlie explained.

“The good results last year and with some good players coming through, it has spurred me on to go again, see how long I can go on for and I will be trying to play as much as I can.”

Brownlie is nearing completion of his 'B' coaching licence as well as coaching junior football with Jets’ catchment club Albany Creek Excelsior and promised he won’t be lost to the game should his playing days come to an end.

“You’re a long time retired, so you try to hang on to playing as long as you can. But if something happens then you get on with it and move into the next phase.”

"For me that will be coaching because I love my football and I don’t want to give it up,” he concluded.
