A quartet of PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Women’s stars have been announced as signings for Adelaide United’s Westfield W-League team.

Eastern Suburbs FC duo Chantelle Ryder and Rosie Sutton will be joined at the Lady Reds by Olympic FC’s Allira Toby and Western Pride’s Lorena Maggio in the top tier of Australian women’s football this summer.

Easts duo Ryderand Sutton were stand-outs in the inaugural PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Women’s season - contributing a combined nine goals as their club fell just a single point short of the Premiership title.

Ryder, 20, will contest her first Westfield W-League campaign, capping an impressive turnaround as she adapted to the new role of fullback this year.

Sutton, 25, previously played in the Westfield W-League for Perth Glory and this season will see a reunion with her previous Glory Women’s coach Jamie Harnwell.

Fleet-footed attacker Toby, 21, will add further goal scoring punch to the Lady Reds after notching seven goals in 18 appearances during the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland campaign.

For 24-year-old Maggio, who served the dual role of player-coach at Pride this year, this season will mark a return to the Lady Reds, where she played in the 2012/2013 season.

Maggio also previously played for New York Magic in the United Soccer Leagues W-League competition in the United States.

The Westfield W-League season kicks offs on Saturday October 17, with the Lady Reds hosting Western Sydney Wanderers in the South Australian capital.
