NEWS: FFV’s 2017 Victorian Football Awards nominations open

FOOTBALL Federation Victoria's Community Football Awards aim to recognise the outstanding performance of coaches, referees and our hard-working volunteers. Nominations are now open for the Volunteer of the Year award as well as the Coach of the Year award.

All award winners will receive an invitation to the Winner's Function at Football Federation Victoria’s NPLW Grand Final Gala on October 1st at ABD Stadium, Broadmeadows.

Volunteer of the Year

The 2017 Victorian Volunteer of the Year award is a great opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work that volunteers in the community undertake each year.

Volunteers are the force behind the daily running of a football club, ensuring the players get the opportunity to play the sport that they love.

Their ongoing work, time and support continue to keep the spirit of football alive in the community.

If you know of an outstanding volunteer at your club, please consider them for the 2017 Victorian Volunteer of the Year award.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrates excellence in volunteering to the benefit of the local football community
  • Evidence of initiative and innovation with volunteering activities
  • No age restrictions are associated with this award
  • Nominees must have been volunteering for a minimum of 12 months or 100 hours
  • Must be registered on MyFootballClub (FFA ID number)

Coach of the Year (Male and Female)

The role of a coach is a demanding and often thankless one.

The 2017 Victorian Coach of the Year award is a great opportunity to celebrate the work that fantastic coaches in the community undertake each season.

A great coach shouldn't only be defined by how many wins or loses they have during the season, but the long lasting impact that they have on the development and enjoyment of their players.

A candidate who is dedicated to continual learning and personal growth, which is the sign of someone willing to be better each time they coach, is the individual we would like to reward.

If this sounds like a coach you know, please consider them for 2017 Victorian Coach of the Year award.

Eligibility and Selection criteria

  • Must coach a team registered and playing in an FFV competition
  • Must have an active accreditation
  • Must be registered on MyFootballClub (FFA ID number)
  • Must be committed to ongoing education
