UPDATED: Twelve Geelong juniors selected for U13 and U14 Victorian Country Boys’ squads

A TOTAL of twelve Geelong talented junior footballers have been selected for the Victorian Country Boys’ squad that will take part at the Football Federation Australia (FFA) Nationals’ Tournament in late September in Coffs Harbour.

They include eight players from the renowned NPL pathway program at North Geelong Warriors FC, two ex-North Geelong players who are currently playing with NPL clubs in Melbourne as well as two players from the local Geelong Region community based clubs Geelong Rangers and Bell Park.

The players selected for the U13s Country squad include North Geelong’s Lachlan Brown, Tom Illijevski and Noa Skoko, incredibly talented first year Rangers’ junior Kai Williams and Bell Park player Oliver DiGiandomenico.

The U14s Country squad includes Tristan Harris, Daniel Harland, Harry Waugh, Xavier Ryan and Julian Majic-Hecimovic who are all North Geelong Warriors’ players and ex-North Geelong players Tae Brandwyk (a former Geelong Rangers junior who is currently at South Melbourne) and Ben Portbury (currently at Hume City).

The players have been invited to train for the U13 and U14 Country squads at the Darebin International Sports Centre in Melbourne for sessions on the following dates:

1.         Saturday - 8th of September (2:00-6:00pm)

2.         Saturday - 15th of September (2:00-6:00pm)

3.         Saturday - 22nd of September (2:00-6:00pm)

The FFA Nationals’ Tournament will be held from the 23rd of September to the 29th of September in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales.
