NEWS: Geelong Region Women’s Div 1 – Catch Up Round preview

THIS weekend, there will only be one game played in the Geelong Region Women’s Division 1 competition, with Barwon SC taking on Kardinia International College in the only Catch Up Round fixture.
The game will be played at Grovedale Reserve on Saturday with kick-off set down for 1.00pm.
Kardinia will most certainly be hoping for a much better performance than last week when they were demolished 3-10 by Bell Park at home in their opening game of the season.
Barwon, on the other hand, has only managed two draws out of its first two games and will be looking to secure its first win of the season.
The other five teams will have a break this weekend and will be back for round four, which will be held the following week on Saturday the 12th of May.
Lachlan Shirley is a young SEDA student, currently doing work experience with FFV Geelong. He will be compiling regular weekly reports on the Geelong Region Men’s and Women’s Division 1 competitions.
