NOTICE: FFV launches Female Administrator Mentor program

FOOTBALL Federation Victoria (FFV) is launching a female administrator mentor program for club administrators and committee members, a new initiative as a direct result of feedback from last year’s Women in Football Network 21st Century Town Hall Meeting.

Although there are already mentoring programs in place for referees and coaches, this is the first time FFV will run a program aimed at club administrators. It is also the first program targeted specifically at women.

Funded by an AIS Women Leaders in Sport grant, the program will be delivered in partnership with Leadership Victoria.

Participants will be required to attend three contact sessions throughout the 8-month program, and will be matched with an appropriate mentor in order to build their leadership skills.

The program officially launched yesterday (April 18). Please contact wifn@ffv.org.au for more information.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
