THE Ventures hockey side made a cleansweep of the National Inter Club competition in Lautoka over the weekend.
The Hector Smith-coached men's side edged out fellow Suva team Stingers in the final 2- 0. The Ventures Men with debutant Joshua Uluiviti as Keeper was on song during the 2 day tournament.
Ventures Adrian Smith and Martin Fong scored a goal each for their side in the final of the two-day event. Fong won Top Goal Scorer for the Tournament and Tevita Smith Goal Keeper of the Tournament.
In the women's division, Ventures, led by Alison Southey, managed to fight off a strong attack from MOBEES and won by 3 - 0. Goals were scored by Pico Semisi, Lucretia Smith and Myra Tora.
The Ventures Kaji's also dominated their category by beating Marist Kaji's 3 - 0. In the Ventures Kaji we had a determined Jonthan Ratumudu who wanted to stop the Marist attack and the inclusion of Eugene Heritage for this season was enough to win the game.
Clubs will now prepare for the Valerie Daveta Shield in Suva in two weeks time which the Ventures Men and Women are Defending.
Congratulations again to the Ventures Men and Womens Team especially to our Ventures Kajis.
