MG Plasterers SECBL Round 7 Preview

The Panthers led by Pioneers guard Kyle Tipene (28.6 PPG) head down the road to take on the Saints in Millicent who are looking to stay off the bottom of the ladder with a win. The Saints will need a big game from big young gun Harry Mules (16.67 PPG) and Josh Murphy Murphy (22PPG) to topple the Panthers!

The other Millicent mob Cats take on the Cougars in our MG MATCH OF THE WEEK looking for a fourth win of the season after dropping one last week to the Bulldogs. With two scorers averaging over twenty per game, Pioneer PG Kane de Wit (27.33 PPG) and Jordy Hollitt (21.25 PPG), the Cougars will be tough to stop for the Cats despite Frazer Bradley pouring in 17.8 PPG. Bradley will need to have a big game, 30 plus points one suspects if the Cats are to get the chocolates.

The Roos, looking for their first win since Round1! Take on the Bulldogs who’ve shot up to the top of the ladder. The last encounter between these sides did not contain much defence as the teams combined for 220 points! With Zach Nulty out with injury, Pioneers captain Tom Daly (20.2 PPG) and Mackye Baron (20.5 PPG) will need to surpass their averages to best the Dogs.

In the women’s the The Bull-Roos tackle the Saints in what could be the first win for the Pup-Joeys, they’ve been threatening and this might be the night with some players returning after away trips. Saints star Lacey Haines (19.67 PPG) will be out to stop that though, with support from a well-rounded cast of supporters. Ellie Bouchier has elevated her game lately, lifting her average up to 12.5 PPG, watch out for her to ground the flying Saints.

The Cats have the bye this week, whilst the Cougars battle the Panthers in the MG MATCH OF THE WEEK. This game boasts Pioneers stars Joey Jones versus Sophie Miles, more than enough reason to come and have a look. Alyssa Duncan has been in hot form as well, and it will be a tough challenge for the Cougars to hold these two down.
