As we close in on finals for the MG Plasterers SECBL competition in the Men the Bulldogs Blue and Panthers are clear top of the ladder with the other teams fighting for the third and fourth positions.
It was the Hunter show in the Bulldogs Blue v Roos clash, with Lachie Hunter and Brother Mitch combined for 44 points as they over came a desperate Roos team who fought back from 20 points down to get within five, but did not have the depth on the night to maintain their run.
The Panthers took down the Cats behind 23 points from Joe Ferguson-Lane, the young Cats side had their moments and managed to have four players in double figures, however it was the Panthers that had all the answers and players willing to step up in the absence of leading scorer Kyle Tipene.
Braidyn Ousey was on fire with 32 points for the Cougars against the Bulldogs Red, young guns Shaun Lock and Duncan Reid had 27 and 20 points each to give their Bulldogs side a chance. Braidyn however had all the answers and proved too much for the Bulldogs to handle.
In the Womens competition it was the Panthers who continued their good form by defeating top of the table Cats by five points, Joey Jones and Alyssa Duncan with 15 points each led the Panthers, Jess Ven had 18 points for the Cats including two three pointers.
The Cougars took care of business against the Bulldogs/Roos by 25 points, Keryl Ousey with her second consecutive 27 point game could not be contained, young gun Siobhan Adams had 13 points to lead her team.
