Couldabeenz 35 def Vitality Hawks 28

Two old rivals and the two top sides faced off in the Gold Division Grand Final. As expected, this was a physical contest with any entry into the key way being at that individuals own risk. Different players threatened throughout the game to break it open however both sides were desperate to take away any advantages.

When Sam ‘Down Town’ Griffith fouled out in dramatic fashion the Couldabeenz fans were starting to wonder if their side had enough fire power to hold off the Hawks with Kingsley Clark and Jamie Croker starting to work their way into the game.

The Couldabeenz were led home by eventual game MVP Mark Vinko who top scored with 12 points, Jamie Croker led the Hawks with 8 points of his own.

Beags Black 47 def Beags Red 46

The all Beagle Boy clash provided a double over time classic that will no doubt be remember for years to come.

The Bags Red found themselves in a whole at the half trailing 20 to 9, however a 19 to 9 run led by Ben Loef and Vincent Panares had their team right back in the contest.

With his side down by two with the regulation buzzer fast approaching Ben Loef was able to make a shot to tie the score and force over time. Neither side could gain control of the extra period with many lead changes, and again it was Ben Loef with a clutch free throw that sent the game into another over time period.

Travis ‘Baseline Bandit’ Fatchen found room to get the second over time underway and his side a two-point lead, again neither side to get any separation from the other. There were many tense moments with players fouling and sending people to the free-throw line, it was Sam Bonanno who held his nerve at the end of the game to give his side the one-point victory.

Beags Black player Paul Summers was awarded the MVP of the game, Beags Red player Sam Leane received the league MVP.
