Football4All Program

NWSWF Association have been running a Football4All Program at Morrison Bay for the past 8 weeks.

The program has been very succesful and yesterday was our last day for this season. We're hoping all the players return next season and we manage to grow the numbers, so that we have a couple of teams that can play as part of our standard football season.

As part of the last game of the season, not only did we see some great football being enjoyed, we followed up with a presentation where every player was awarded with a trophy, photo book and ball.

Then, thanks to Emily's mum Robyn, cupcakes were provided. The players and their families then celebrated with a bbq lunch.

Mayor of Ryde Roy Maggio called by to say hello during a break in his refereeing duties.

Meredith Gray and Carolyn Dmello from Ryde Council's Active Recreation team have been supporters of the program from day one and also stopped by. I've shared some of Meredith's great shots below.

Director of the FNSW Board Jeanette Jones called by to show her support of the initative, as did Adrian Jones who is a director of the NWSWF Board.

Can't forget Kerrie the Koala who dropped in to play a bit of a game and have some photos taken with the players.

The program would not have been possible without the fantastic volunteers, Kim Schaefer firstly who initiated the program. The players who set up and coached the girls every week from the Ravens and Putney FC's Over 35 teams, Christine Rudge, Joanne Plug, Cindy Kok, Michelle Heffernan, Marg Bass, Cathy Clapham, Sandy Killick, Gill Green, Anne Hemmings and Sarah Curtis.

Thanks also to Leisl Stimpson, Tracey Williams, Julie Ward, Karen Thompson, Nate Rushton, Sandra Awondatu and our canteen managers Leanne & Ali Noble. Also the Ravens U17 State League team who came down and play a game.

Last but not least, thanks to the players and parents who particpiated in the program :)
