The Fiji athletes took the majority of the supporter side in cheering for their country for their fist game. At the first quarter saw Fiji leading the game by 15-8, and they kept their lead to the end.

Fiji came out as the winner of the match with 58-32 to Tonga. The next match was between the host country Cook Islands and Niue. Our goal shooters Angela Tangimetua and Curly George were making sure that every goal counts. Niue had some strong defenders on the court, and created some challenges for the Cook Islands. At the end Cook Island won by 65-28 Niue.
