Saturday was registration and training day for the PMG Golf Athletes who started arriving on Thursday. There are three more teams who had yet to register as they were expected to arrive over the week end being New Caledonia, Norfolk Islands and the Northern Mariannas. There is one more training day before the Games Tournament commences on Tuesday 22nd September 2009. Team Cook Islands Ladies final member would have arrived Sunday and be in time for the final traing day today.
The local club members enjoyed viewing the Athletes with some massive drives from Mens and Ladies. There are some exciting times coming up ahead and the golf members are getting into the momentum.
While some Athletes heard that the weather was a little cool, found the saturday training just a little bit hot. Team Managers are still sorting themselves out with the local rules and an update will be available before the Team Managers meeting today.
If you are looking for some exciting full day sports, just turn up to the Rarotonga Golf Club. Accreditated participants will have access to certain sports areas, while visitors will be restricted to the Rarotonga Golf Club House only. So come on down and check out the up and coming polynesian Tiger Wood's.
