Ian McGillick has for some time now been collecting recyclable containers in an effort to raise funds for the Torrens Valley Basketball Club. Large plastic bags have been handed out to members so that home recycling can be channelled back to the club also.

Because of this the monies raised from recycling have improved enormously, in 2006, $416.05 was raised while in 2007, $651.55 has been raised until the middle of November.

Largely, this improvement has been made possible by members taking the plastic bags supplied and collecting at home instead of discarding recyclables into the rubbish bins. Please don't under estimate the importance of this fund raising as it is vital to the running of the club. If you haven't received a bag please ask one of the committee members to supply one so that we can achieve even greater next year.
