MEN's PREMIER LEAGUE SCRIMMAGES
As the start of the Premier League draws closer (mid March), planning for success is well and truly under way, with several scrimmages and trainings of recent times. This week things got a little more serious with 24 current Rocket players, including several Under 18’s, invited to a couple of scrimmages as Coaches look to name a “pre-season” extended squad just before the New Year.
Congratulations to current Under 18 players Fiston Ipassou, Callum Iseppi, Riley Real, Dylan Marshall and Ethan Bryan for getting an invite. It is a massive endorsement of their efforts over the last 12 months.
Congratulations also to current Under 23’s Alex Schild, Jack Shepard, Keenan Abbott, James Adams, Mitch Manticos and Zac McDonald who joined members from last years squad Alex Starling, Adam Schild, Darcy Aistrope, Matt Trandafil, Gab Saldavia, Josh Graetz, Riley Harrap, Marko Miskovic, Russell Jensen, Riley Slater, Caleb Watson and Kane Della Pia. Also invited was Division 1 Men’s player Kyle McNaughton and new signing (ex Woodville PL player) James Peters.
With Daniel Goodluck and Luke Pike rehabilitating from long term injuries also due back soon, Raymond Harding and Nick Marshall to return from college and a couple of new signings to be announced, the pressure is on to earn a spot for 2019.
