BUNNINGS WAREHOUSE COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING

"On Tuesday Barb Rowe & Scott Kelly were invited to the new Bunnings Windsor Gardens for an information evening about community fundraising.

Each year NABC put in a written request to Bunnings be considered for fundraising. We have to do this to Windsor Gardens as it is the closest store to Hillcrest. For the past few years we have been offered 2 BBQ’s per quarter, these were on weekends. The new warehouse is opening on 27th November and will have 7 day a week BBQ for community groups.

At the information evening there were many community groups present some who have never done a Bunnings BBQ before so BBQ dates will be limited, however Bunnings are open to groups holding cake or cookie stalls which have been held at other sites generating $250-$300. Any baked good can not have cream and must have what ingredients are in the product displayed.

Bunnings Windsor Gardens are holding a staff & family night this Friday and asked if any group present would cook burgers for them for that night which Barb & I are going to do, this is so that we may be considered for more weekends and we will be given $150.00 in gift cards that will be used as quiz night prizes. If you not busy this Friday from 4.30 to 7.00 pm we could use another pair of hands to cook.

Any team wishing to staff a BBQ for team fundraising must be willing to do this on a week day and we will give you as much advanced notice as possible OR if you would like to try the cake stand please contact Barb 0411 280 453 or Scott 0411 254 535
Teams will be put on a list as they contact and when we get dates contacted in that order.

We have 2 dates available Thursday 18th January and Saturday 24th February . Bunnings are anticipating BBQ sales to be similar to Mile End and anticipate weekdays to generate $500-$600 and weekends and public holidays $1000-1200.00."
