The Chairman of the recent Micronesian Games/President of the Palau NOC, Mr. Frank Kyota, had a courtesy visit to Minister Kuartei at MOH to extend appreciation from the Games Organizing Committee and the Palau NOC for the commitment and partnership from the Ministry of Health staff and management to the recent delivery of the games. During this visit, the Chairman of the Micro Games, Mr. Kyota, also presented to MOH the remaining IV-Bags that the Games Medical staff did not use during the Micro Games. The IV-Bags presented to MOH were all new - 3 cases for the hospital use. The MOH has been a strong supporter and partner to many sports and physical activities delivery programs throughout Palau and have continued to be partner in promoting and delivering many physical activities (such as runs, canoe races, biking, walk events, and exercises) and specific sports activities. The Palau NOC also had the opportunity to discuss with Minister Kuartei about the upcoming “Sports Exchange and Exhibition” planned for 16th December – where MOH was asked to be a partner to share ideas as well as work with other partners to improve healthy lifestyles of our community through physical activities and sports. The Sports Exchange and Exhibition is part of the Palau NOC delivery programs to collaborate closer with partners and leaders of our community for better and improved delivery of sports and physical education for the benefit of our youth and the community of Palau. More detailed information about the Sports Exchange and Exhibition scheduled for 16 December 2010 will be presented throughout the media outlets in the next few weeks.
