In soccer he has been a main stayer for the club and village of Titikaveka for many years. He has held positions of manager, coach and adviser to the club. he took the club to some memoriable titiles also but again like the saying goes "you can't win them all", of cause he always says if you want to achive honours in any sport, training, training is the key to sucess and he always (as we know) pick on his sons to produce results and not to fake ones. As a result of all he has done for soccer he was, as far as we know, made a Life Member of the Cook Islands Football Association (CIFA), of cause there were also other life members within the organization.
In regards to the other sports, he also excelled in Rugby Union which he is one of the popular games in the old days. He was instrumental in playing for the village of Tititkaveka in the senior grade and at a very young age was one of the youngest to ever captain the club (rugby) at the age of 15 years old. A feared tackler in the sport was regarded as one of the top players during that era. this acn also be seen during later years when his sons were playing for the club too.One of the greatest achievements he he has always treasured was his involvement in the team to play an Italian side in 1979 with now CISNOC President Sir Geoffrey Henry aqnd Coach Bob Serven who was working as Superintendent for our Prison. He always says this to be one of the greatest achiements in the game of rugby, getting involved and of cause players of that era are still around today.
Apart from the two sports mentioned above he was also involved in the Titikaveka Rugby League and Cricket which he was a very active member and adviser, and can also be seen around these two sports during there season.
A man respected by all who know him, the smile and friendliness is there for the judgement. A tribute to a great player, adviser, administrator, he just covered all areas of the playing field.
