ROUND FIFTEEN: North Adelaide Rockets v Norwood Flames

WOMEN by Kieren Vartuli

Only 4-points split the Rockets and Flames who have both had their fair share of variant results this season. The two sides met in the opening weeks of the 2019 Statetechnics and Akorin Business and Finance Finance Solutions Premier League season where it was the Rockets who emerged victorious at the ARC. Fast forwarding to the present day, the Flames are sitting at 7-7 while the rebuilding North Adelaide are 5-9 after 14 rounds. Both sides were on the tail ends of disappointing losses in their last outings with Norwood falling to West by 16 and North to the league leading Eagles by 22. Last time the two sides met, Samantha DeFrancesco did not line up for the Rockets and her sharpshooting may just be what the Rockets need to push for the victory. Both sides will be looking to return to form after their breaks, but it may be the Rockets who edge out the flames and tighten the standings as we head to the final rounds of the season.

Hang Time Prediction: North Adelaide Rockets

MEN by Daniel Renfrey

The Rockets will be hoping to continue on the momentum they gained with their win over Forestville when they take on another top team in the Flames this week. The Rockets were extremely impressive in their 91-106 win against the Eagles, dominating in the paint and creating high-percentage looks due to their presence down low. Their defence was also strong, as holding Forestville to 91 points is no easy feat. The Flames have been red hot though, with a solid 87-100 win over the Bearcats away from home. The team’s defence was very tight and quick on its feet, quelling any major threat West Adelaide posed. They will need to perform the same way this week against key players like Dowdell and Starling, and hope that they can get an even contribution from players like Brine, Legan, the Webbers and Lycett, as they did last round. This should be a great show, and it’s hard to see the Flames burning out.

Hang Time Prediction: Norwood Flames
