Samoa register their first win of the Games

Samoa, in their first match of the tournament convincingly beat Singapore 76-33 at the State Netball centre today at 3.00pm.

The island girls from the first whistle stamped their authority on the game and were the dominant team of the day winning all four quarters of the game.With the added advantage of height and size, the smaller Asian girls were no match in every aspect.

Samoa is ranked 6th in the world and is currently coached by Linda Vagana, a former Silver Ferns player.

Samoa will play Wales tomorrow evening at 8.30pm at the State Netball centre.
