Four other Islanders fell however in a busy day all around.
Samoa's Shada Wulf lost 26 - 9 to Ali Shah of India in the 60Kg class, the Indian being just to fast.
Leti Leti of Samoa was unfortunate to lose his close fought bout 39 - 31 to the feisty Scot Mark Hastie. Both fighters were willing to attack at any opportunity with Hastie the more effective in defense overall.
Poleti Seipua was the next Samoan to fall outclassed by Virendar of India in the 69Kg division.
Togia Atutolu of Niue was similarly outclassed by Kenya in the 91Kg class.
