Harbour players prominent in NBL Draft

We are very proud that no fewer than 11 current or former Herbour rep players will be playing in the 2020 Sal’s National Basketball League (NBL) that begins later this month.

In last night’s NBL draft, broadcast live on Sky Sport, a total of 84 players were selected for the seven participating  teams. The first Harbour player selected was Jack Salt who has decided to stay with the Canterbury Rams rather than play for Auckland Huskies or Franklin Bulls.

Before Covid-19 shut down all sport Salt had already signed for the Rams to begin his professional career, so not surprisingly he is staying with the red and blacks.

Anamata Haku, with over 100 NBL appearances under his belt, was picked by the Huskies as was rookie Taine Murray – still a pupil at Rosmini College.

The vastly experienced Tall Blacks guard Jarrod Kenny was selected by Otago Gold Rush.

Here is the full list of Harbour players and the clubs that have picked them.
