Dan Fotu and Kruz Perrott-Hunt post career best numbers

Harbour athletes were in good form in recent days in NCAA basketball in the States with Dan Fotu and Kruz Perrott-Hunt posting career best numbers whilst Akiene-Tera Reed top scored for VCU.

Akiene-Tera Reed top scored for Virginia Commonwealth in there 62-49 win against Old Dominion. Reed scored 17 points (6/11FG) and added 3 rebounds and a couple of steals. Last season’s Atlantic-10 First Team selection has been a little hampered by a hand injury this season but despite missing three games still leads the VCU scoring averaging 11.9 points per game.

Dan Fotu scored 9 points and pulled down a career high 9 rebounds in a solid 25 minute performance as St Mary’s Gaels improved to 10-2 with an 89—77 win against Cal Berkeley.

Kruz Perrott-Hunt, in his first collegiate season, had a career best seven assists against zero turnovers and added 5 points, a block and a steal as South Dakota beat Mayville State 96-60 to improve to 9-3. It was a fifth straight start for Kruz.

Matt Freeman produced 7 points (3/6FG), 8 rebounds and 2 assists as University California Santa Barbara hung tough at Idaho State to win 74-68.

William Heather was in double figures for Dallas Baptist who stretched their unbeaten start to the season to eight games after defeating Dallas Christian 96-49. Will scored 10 points and also snared 8 rebounds in the win.
