Harbour U23 Men Finish 4th at Nationals

Harbour Men had to settle for fourth place at the 2019 U23 National Championships in Porirua last week.

They made a great start to the tournament topping their pool after successive wins against Waitakere West B (108-64), Otago (104-75) and Waikato Country Blue (87-84).

In the quarter final they beat Waitakere West A (88-83) before losing to Manawatu 91-82 in the semi-final.

 The 3rd/4thplay-off game was a high scoring affair with Harbour eventually losing 110-107 to Counties Manukau.

Taine Wattie (29 points) and Reuben Fitzgerald (27 points) led the Harbour effort ably supported by Zack Te Puni (15 points) and Jack Burton (14 points).

 Hutt Valley/Wellington beat Manawatu 98-78 in the Championship Final.
