Supercity Easter Slam 2014 Preview
One of the largest tournaments on the New Zealand basketball calendar is being held here in Auckland over the next four days.
Harbour Basketball and ABSL will host 51 teams across three age groups utilising five venues.
The 51 teams come from the Hawkes Bay, Auckland, Counties and Harbour associations. In addition we are delighted to welcome two groups of teams from Melbourne - Victorian Christian College and Kingston Cavaliers.
The tournament has six sections, Under 19, Under 17 and Under 15 Boys and Girls. On paper the Under 17 boys competition appears to be the most competitive with all competing clubs and associations entered in that grade.
The first games begin at 9.00am on Friday morning, the tournament concluding mid afternoon on Easter Monday.
