Development Officer

North Harbour Basketball Association (NHBA) is inviting applications for the position of Development Officer.

NHBA is widely regarded as one of the top basketball associations in New Zealand.

Our competitions are the largest in New Zealand with over 700 teams playing annually in organised competition.

We also have the largest individual representative basketball programme .Our teams’ results in 2012 and 2013 were extremely impressive , with a number of independent observers ranking our representative basketball programme the strongest and most successful in New Zealand.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team at our North Harbour offices. The job will include, but not be restricted to the following functions:

-       Representative team logistics

-       Development and Skills Academies

-       Basketball Curriculum development and delivery

-       Coach development for all coaches

We are looking for an individual with a proven record in the development of both players and coaches at a minimum of National Age Group representation level. Experience in the sport of basketball is preferred.

The position requires 40 hours work per week, with the necessity of working over the weekend on occasions.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday 17th January 2014. A short list will be determined for interviews in late January 2014. The successful applicant is expected to start by March 2014.
