New World Body Formed

At a meeting held on the Friday 6 August 2004 to discuss the future of Men's and Mixed Netball, it ws unanimously agreed by Fiji, Cook Islands, New Zealand and Australia to form an international body to govern and develop the sport of Men's and Mixed Netball.

The new body will be called "The International Men's and Mixed Netball Association".

The founding delegates to the new body are:
1. Alisi Tabete   - Chairperson Fiji
2. Alini Sovu - Fiji
3. Teva Simiona - Cook Islands
4. Apii Pakitoa - Cook Islands
5. David Pala'amo - New Zealand
6. Nardine Smith - New Zealand
7. Peter Turk - Australia
8. John Sobieray - Australia
The first meeting of the newly formed International Men's and Mixed Netball was held on Saturday 7 August 2004, where it was agreed that another men's and mixed event will be held in 2006 to build on the success of the inaugural Fiji event. It was moved by delegates that Fiji should again host the event.

It is with great pleasure that we wish to announce that Fiji has accepted the invitation to host the next international Men's and Mixed Challenge in August 2006.
