CAROLINE Springs continued their winning ways on Sunday, with the Lakers scoring an impressive 67-point win over Pascoe Vale at Raeburn Reserve.
The Lakers’ defensive efforts were a standout of the win, they kept their opposition scoreless to three quarter time.
Caroline Springs kicked three goals in the opening quarter, one goal in the second, four goals in the fourth and then another three straight goals in the final term.
The win moves them into fourth place on the ladder. They will take on an inform Manor Lakes this weekend.
The Storm scored its third straight win, defeating Craigieburn by 138-points at Howqua Reserve.
Last week it was Kellee McInistosh with a bag of 10 goals, this week Lindsay Newton joined the party, kicking 10 goals herself.
Meanwhile, Tarneit and Glen Orden both struggled against their respective opponents on Sunday. The two teams failed to hit the scoreboard.
The Titans lost to Sunbury by 93-points. Brodie-Paige Theodore kicked three goals in the win for the Lions, giving her best on ground honours. Jemayne Jonkers Albrecht also starred for the home side.
Ladder-leaders Keilor continued their unbeaten run with a 152-point win over Glen Orden.
Keilor kicked 14 goals in the first half and then another nine in the second half.
Brooke Todero was the main target up forward, she kicked six goals. Sarah Wright also showed her class in-front of goals, she booted four goals.
In the final game of the round, the VU Western Spurs bounced back after last week’s loss to defeat Roxburgh Park by 55-points at Lakeside Oval.
