MARC BULLEN Deer Park Senior Coach
2015 has been as enjoyable as the previous seasons, coming off another premiership I have noticed that our younger players have been a driving force behind our success this year.
Our preparation could not have been any better, we have left nothing to chance. We know that we are in for a one hell of a fight if we are to lift the cup again and have used our previous experience and added some new training methods to get us in the best shape for an assault at the flag.
We feel we have the best balanced side we have had in my time at the club. A few standout players would include our three youngsters in Jake Ewer, Sohrab Ismail and Spiros Aramantis who are chasing their first flag, down back there is experience across every line lead by Corey Brown, Ryan Crawford and Tim Quick. Our midfield has exceptional players lead by Captain Chris Stewart, Jack Purton Smith, Shannan Broadbent and Kane Mackenzie. Our forward line can kick a winning score with the likes of James Condos, James Wong and Ryan Houlihan, plus a couple of game changers in Kwame McHarg, Donny Bloomfield to name a few!
It’s simple- our supports are by far and away the most passionate in the league, week in week out the support they show gets us over the line. We look forward to putting on an excellent show of Deer Park branded footy which will give them the chance to be a part our success.
Finally I would like to congratulate Pat Cristofi and the Under 18 cubs on the effort this year, there would be nothing more special than the mighty Lions holding up two premierships cups on Saturday. GO PARKERS.

Wade Chapman Werribee Districts Senior Coach
Our season up to now has been excellent. It’s our second year in the WRFL Division One competition after coming across from the VAFA. It’s been a great effort by the club to have the seniors, reserves and both the Under 18 sides play finals again this year.
It has been very competitive and there are no easy games. The league is full of quality sides and players and will continue to improve. We’ve had our fair share of injuries and we have been able to cover off on them, luckily. Every side gets them and it just needs to be managed which we have been able to do.
We’re excited with the prospect of playing in the Grand Final today. The feeling throughout the club is very positive. We give ourselves a chance and anything can happen on Grand Final Day. You just need an ounce of luck to go your way.
As a club and coaching group, we couldn’t be happier with our preparation up to now. Our players have prepared as best as they could have with the way they have gelled this year and they worked extremely hard this year with the pre-season, practice matches, home and away season, training and recovery.
The coaching and playing group would like to thank our committee, support staff, sponsors, members and juniors. They have all been fantastic in the way they have supported the team this year and we look forward to continued success as a club in the WRFL.
