Nationals, Ksau Imaging Solutions meet for IP&E ABL title

Teams Nationals 17 and Under and Ksau Imaging Solutions will battle for the coveted title as they arrange for a best of three championship series after besting separate foes in the Final Four of the IP&E Amateur Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

The Nationals 17 and Under squad used their youthfulness and quickness as they routed Stingers, 97-77 in Game Three of their semifinals series Wednesday night. The Nationals closed their series with a 2-1 count.

After taking a 22-21 lead, the Nationals spurted a 28-15 run in the second canto to close the half with a 50-36 advantage. From there, the Nationals held their ground as they went on to win the game with Marvic Ngchar leading the way with 23 as Edward Baysa tallied 20.

The Stingers tried their best to comeback but was not enough as Douglas Schmidt finished the game with 41 markers on a losing cause.

On the other hand, Ksau Imaging Solutions clamped down league leaders WCC Hammers as they bested them in their own semis. Ksau Imaging Solutions swept their series with a 2-0 tally.

Game One of the finals is set on Monday at 7:30 p.m. following the consolation match between Stingers against WCC Hammers at 6 p.m. Game Two of the finals will be on March 6 at 7 p.m. and Game Three (if necessary) will be on March 7 at 7 p.m.
