Galaxy Builders, MOF Omsangel score win in Rudimch GB League

Team Galaxy Builders and Ministry of Finance (MOF) Omsangel made their presence felt as they defeated respective foes, Friday night in the ongoing 2012 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

Galaxy Builders, who missed out last season’s tournament, started their comeback on a high note as they defeated Palau Pacific Resort (PPR) Stingrays, 68-61. After taking a 22-12 lead in the opening quarter team Galaxy Builders widen the gap as they anchored an 11-9 output to close the first half, 33-21.

From there, Galaxy Builders never looked back as they went to take their first win in the tournament with rookie Gilbert Palalon leading the scoring with 17 points as Erwin Senadre added 14 while Masao Umedib toprscored for PPR Stingrays with 23 on the losing end.

On the other hand, Ministry of Finance went on to beat MPIIC, 80-70 in the main game to nail their first win for the season.

In other games, Neco won over Mason’s Hardware, 80-74; MOJ Cops bested KSG Royals, 52-45; Filipino All Stars defeated Palau All Stars, 86-85.

Games will resume tonight with team Ongos versus team Ngebard at 6 p.m. followed by the PPR Shark Attack-Fish ‘N Fins Hunters tussle at 7:30 p.m. as Surangel and Sons will face PPR Stingrays in the main game at 9 p.m.

Wednesday night matches will have Palasia Hotel will face MOE II at 6 p.m. as KSG Royals will meet MOF Omsangel at 7 p.m. and Mason’s Hardware will square off against WCTC at 9 p.m.

Thursday night matches will feature Dims against FBL mix at 6 p.m. as MPIIC will meet PNCC Molekoi at 7:30 p.m. while PRR Dragons will be pitted against Galaxy Builders in the night cap at 9 p.m.
