PHS leads in ISL Girls Varsity bball

Palau High School (PHS) looks to take leadership in the team standings as they remain flawless scoring their third victory in a row at the expense of Mindszenty High School, 20-0 Wednesday in the ongoing 2014 ISL Girls Varsity basketball tournament.

With the win, PHS is now 3-0 in the team standings while MHS suffered its third setback as they remain winless with a 0-3 tally.

On the other hand, Chantal fired 20 points while AR added 19 as they led PMA in dismantling Bethania High School, 45-10 for their second win.

In other games, PMA beat MHS, 35-14; PHS drubbed BHS, 66-27; PHS bested PMA, 50-22; and BHS won over MHS, 37-29.

Games will resume today with PHS versus BHS at the PHS gym while PMA will face MHS at the SDA gym.

Monday games will feature PHS against MHS at the PHS gym while PMA will host BHS at the SDA gym.

Competing teams include Palau High School (PHS), Mindszenty High School (MHS), Bethania High School (BHS) and Palau Mission Academy (PMA).

Games will start at 4 p.m. and teams are required to be on time. Teams will also provide at least two volunteers to be the table official at each game. FIBA rules will be applied in the said tournament which is under the supervision of the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF). By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
