MOJ Lawmen beats Team Malii

Team Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Lawmen secured another win, this time beating newcomer Team Malii, 95-54 Friday in the ongoing 2014 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

MOJ Lawmen meant business as they erected a 27-11 lead in the opening quarter and then showed their defensive prowess in the second as they held team Malii to 6 points as to their 17 to close the half with a commanding 44-17 advantage.

From there, MOJ Lawmen kept their composure as they sailed away with the win with Jason Brell leading the way with 24 as teammates Bisa Demei and Elway Ngiraboi adding 15 and 11, respectively.

On the other hand, Jordan led team Malii with 11 as Ely Ezekiel and McQueen Ngirmang had identical 9 markers on the losing end.

In other games, team ABC won over MOE Spiders, 63-59; Yrang’s Salon beat Mason’s Mercury, 107-92; PPR Stingrays beat SDA Crusaders by default; and PPR Shark Attack defeated Fish N’ Fins, 92-89.

Games will resume tonight with SDA Crusaders versus Mason’s Mercury at 6 p.m. followed by the WCTC Powerball-PPR Shark Attack tussle at 7:30 p.m. while Neco will face Island Rhythm at 9 p.m.

Wednesday night games will feature PPUC Electric Eel against Team Malii at 6 p.m. as President’s X-Men will take on team ABC at 7:30 p.m. while Fish n’ Fins Hunters will meet PRR Dragons in the main game at 9 p.m.

Thursday night will have Yrang’s Salon versus Neco at 6 p.m. followed by Island Rhythm against SDA Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. while PPR Stingrays will test PPR Shark Attack in the night cap at 9 p.m.

In other news, the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF) in collaboration with the Palau National Olympic Committee (PNOC) has announced that they are looking for a National Basketball Development Officer.

Application forms are available at the PNOC office and deadline for submission of applications will be on September 12.
