Gilas Originals gun for 5th win
Contenders Gilas Originals is set to take their fifth straight victory as they take on a still winless Surangel and Sons team, Sunday in the resumption of the 2014 Filipino Master League basketball tournament at the Palau National gym.
Sporting a 4-0 win-loss record, the Originals are set to take another win in their 11 a.m. encounter. The Jun Apostolero-mentored Originals will have Cid Aquino, Sonny Jacinto, Demar “The Dragon” Mondragon, Lito Cruzat, Jimmy Domingo and Ferdie Gundran while Surangel and Sons will rely on the Rafael Paloma-led squad as they try to break the ice and enter the winning column.
In other games, MogMog Rats and Stars will meet WCTC Red Rooster at 12:30 p.m. as Kabalikat will face Melusch Dil at 2 p.m. while PPR All Stud will take on Mason’s Hardware in the main game at 3:30 p.m.
