Palau basketball team meets separate foes in 8th Micro Games
The men’s and women’s basketball team of Palau show their wares as they take on separate foes in the 8th Micronesian Games in Pohnpei.
In the men’s division, Palau will face Chuuk at 4 p.m. Palau men’s basketball team will be coached by Logan Ngiriou with Rayson King as assistant coach. The team will be composed of Sunshine Soalablai, Raddison Dorado, Douglas Schmidt Jr., Gino Smau, Armando Canseco, Marvic Ngchar, Arnold Undecimo, Reid Una Rikrik, Traxx Mark Remeliik, Edward Baysa and Willer Franz.
After Chuuk, the men’s team will battle Nauru on Thursday at 12 p.m.
On the other hand, the women’s basketball team will meet Guam at 2 p.m. and then will face RMI on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
The distaff side will have Israel Brel and Weston Ketebengang calling the shots from the bench. The team will have Mahealani Adelbai, Meangeldil Azuma Malsol, Rosella Fernando, Trang Sarabeth Ksano, Oreng Ngemaes, Trinity Misech, Marley Rabauliman, Desiree Seid, Vaidil Uherbelau, Chantal Vanderberg and Sweety Kalbesang.
