FBL finals reset

Filipino basketball fans will have to wait another week as the Finals for the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) has been rescheduled.

FBL chairman Manny Kimpo told Island Times yesterday that the games will be reset to June 8 due to unavailability of referees. The finals of the FBL will feature Division A champion Ilocandia Bulls, who are set to make history, as they gun for their first title versus Western Union.

The Season Finals will be a best of three championship series.

The Bulls barged their way into the finals after their 90-86 victory over the Royal Cargo Rangers last May 25, this despite missing the services of two of their ace scorers namely Marvic Ngchar and RB Dorado.

On the other hand, Western Union made their way into the finals also via 90-86 win over Surangel Stars in their own semifinals match.

Western Union aims for another title run as they will be led by Bong Alambra, Dennis Castro, Anon Cajegas, Al Obrero, Medel Cuyugan, Lemuel Alban, Chino Luis del Castillo, Darwin Fuentebella, Erwin Senadre and Jeff Barayuga.

Meanwhile, Royal Cargo Rangers will face off with Surangel Stars in a winner take all third place affair.
