FBL play offs set this Sunday

Four games will usher the start of the play off round of the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) at the Palau National gym.

Taking the curtain raiser will be the battle for Division B. It will feature PNQ Crushers versus the Hanpa Cardinals at 11 a.m. and will be followed by the Jaguar-PECI Spartans match at 12:30 p.m.

Taking a bye in Division B are Liquid Skyy Dragons and Rams.

On the other hand, in the Division A it will be a battle for survival as Surangel Stars will take on the Royal Cargo Rangers at 2 p.m.

The Stars finished the elimination round with an  8-3 win-loss card and will be led by it towering line up composed of Ronald and Leo Magcalas, Bong Gayongorza, Arnold Undecimo, Dinnis Demate, Rex de Asis, ZJ Asido, Melvin Parrinas and Jose Senase.

While the Rangers, which finished the elimination round with a 6-5 tally will have Jay and Joemar Naguit, Nico Hinoza, Ronald Mamuyac, Sunny Jacinto, Cid Aquino, veteran skipper Jimmy Domingo, Rogelio and Mac Fernandez.

In the main game, it will have the Ilocandia Bulls meeting with the Aloha Maid Choppers at 3:30 p.m. The Bulls, who secured the no. 4 spot in Division A will again rely on the troika of RB Dorado, Marvic Ngchar and Edward Baysa. They will be backed up by Joeger Supnet, Raul Osias and Ryan Cacho.

Meanwhile, the Choppers, which is sponsored by Shimbros International, will again bank on the performances of Arvin Pramo, Mark Louie Lofranco, Arvin Tacder, JR Grapa, JR Gonzales, Eric Dedeles, Jojo Servantes, Reynaldo Potot, Nelson Dupalco and Jelson Talavera.

Taking a bye in Division A are Western Union and FR Spoilers.

Winners in the play off round will move on to the semifinal round which will be played on April 6. Winners of the semifinal round will move on to the Division finals while the losers will battle for third place honors.
