WCTC beats Galaxy Builders in Rudimch GBL

A second quarter rally gave them the lead and never looked back as team WCTC managed to beat Galaxy Builders, 90-84 Friday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

After taking a 21-20 lead in the opening quarter, team WCTC went strong as they unleashed a 25-7 run in the second to closed the first half with a 46-27 advantage. Despite the late Galaxy Builders uprising, WCTC stood their ground as they went all the way for the win.

Michael Bombita led the scoring clutches for WCTC with 30 points as teammates Coco Gonzales and Dedoch Kloulubak chipped in 23 and 18 points, respectively while Kangki Kesolei and King Ngiraboi topscored for Galaxy Builders with 24 and 23 baskets, in that order on the losing end.

In other games, Neco won over Sam’s Sharks, 87-67; MOF Omsangel beat PNCC Molekoi, 83-64; President’s X-Men downed PPUC Electric Eel, 93-73; Surangel Kings beat sister team Mason’s Hardware, 105-86; and PPR Shark Attack drubbed Fish N’s Fins, 81-58.

Games will resume tonight with PPUC Electric Eel versus Hanpa Cardinals at 6 p.m. followed by the KSG Royals-Island Rhythm tussle at 7:30 p.m. while Surangel Kings will face RTRMI Crushers at 9 p.m.

Wednesday night games will feature PPR Stingrays against RTRMI Crushers at 6 p.m. as Fish N’ Fins will take on PRR Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night will have PNCC Molekoi against KSG Royals at 6 p.m. as MOF Omsangel will take on MOH Band Aid at 7:30 p.m. while PPR Shark Attack will test Sam’s Sharks in the night cap at 9 p.m.
