All Star A beat All Star B in FBL All Star Weekend

Team All Star A showed consistency in the end game as they went to beat team All Star b, 111-106 Sunday in the All Star Weekend of the 2013 season of the Filipino Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

Four players from team All Star A finished the game in double digits namely Michael Bombita of FR Spoilers with 36 points as Bon-Bon Pramo of PRA Choppers, Mark Pagayanan of FR Spoilers and Al Obrero of RP Rangers chipped in 19, 16 and 12 markers, respectively.

On the other hand, Coco Gonzales of FR Spoilers topscored for All Star B with 25 as Lester Mendoza of FR Spoilers, Boy De Jesus of Ilocandia Bulls and Val Doming of FR Spoilers added 17, 15, and 12 on the losing end.

In the main game, Western Union closed their elimination round on a high note as they beat Surangel Stars, 90-77. Sniper Gener Aguinaldo topscored for Western Union with 25 as Arnold Undecimo had 17 for Surangel Stars.

With the win, Western Union grabs solo second in the team standings with an 8-2 win-loss mark while Surangel Stars takes a 4-6 card going into the play offs.

No games will be played on June 30 as the gym will be close for preparations for the 2013 Belau Games.

Games are supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF). This year’s FBL League is supported by ATT Bar and Restaurant, HE Automotive, Palasia Hotel, Palau Royal Resort, Surangel and Sons Company, FR Construction, Engrs.
