Nationals beat Airwaves in IP&E NBL 2013
The Junior Nationals displayed their balance attack as they went on to beat the Idid Airwaves, 76-46 Wednesday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Shell IP&E National Basketball League (NBL) played at the Palau National gym.
After taking an 11-10 lead the Nationals outran the Airwaves in the second canto as they spurted an 11-7 run to close the half with a 22-17 advantage. Then, the Nationals caught fire in the third as they zoom away with a 30-15 output to establish a 52-32 lead and from there never looked back to score the win.
RB Dorado led the scoring fray for the Nationals with 22 as teammates Edward Baysa and Ray Rumong chipped in 15 and 10 markers, respectively while Tats Sadang topscored for the Airwaves with 18 on the losing end.
In other games, FR Spoilers beat PCC Mesekiu, 78-57; 4x4 Wheelers won over WCC Hammers, 74-68; FR Spoilers bested Breakers, 87-84; Peched drubbed Rivals, 110-69; and Ksau Imaging Solutions downed WCC Hammers, 86-84.
Games resume tonight with Idid Airwaves versus Ngermid Rivals at 7:30 p.m. Monday night matches will feature Ksau Imaging Solutions against Junior Nationals at 6 p.m. while Ngermid Rivals will face Medalaii Stingers in the main game at 9 p.m.
