SDA Kings fend off MES for win in EASC Central School boys bball

Team Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Elementary School rolled to its sixth win after beating Meyuns Elementary School (MES) Dolphins, 53-43 in the ongoing 2013 Elementary After School Competition (EASC) Central School boys basketball tournament.

SDA Kings showed might as they struck a 20-4 lead in the opening tip off and then followed it up with a 19-7 run to close the half with a 39-11 lead. From there, the Kings would pummeled away with the win as Carson Sumor tallied 17 points as they now sport a 6-1 win-loss tally while Eltong Sapemang finished with 14 as they now take a 2-4 record in the team standings.

In other games, KES won over MSS, 56-35; and George B. Harris Elementary School bested MES, 61-39.

Games will resume today with MES versus MSS at the Palau National gym while Monday will start with the semi final round. Games will start at 3 p.m.

Competing schools include Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School; Koror Elementary School; Maris Stella School; George B. Harris Elementary School and Meyuns Elementary School.
