KES finishes with a bang in EASC Central Elem School hoopfest

Team Koror Elementary School (KES) Lady Stars close down their elimination campaign with a bang as they went on to beat Meyuns Elementary School Demul Fines, 45-6 Friday in the 2013 EASC Central Elementary School basketball league.

KES went ahead in the opening quarter with a 16-4 and then spurted a 12-0 run to close the first half with a 28-4 advantage. From there KES would show dominance as they went on to win the match.

Cherry Steven carried the load for KES with 15 points as teammates Jecylyn Adelbai added 10.

In other games, MES won over George B. Harris Elementary School team B, 33-11.

With the elimination round over, George B. Harris Elementary School team A will face sister team George B. Harris Elementary School team B in the semis while Koror Elementary School (KES) Lady Stars will face anew MES in the other semis match.

Winners of the semis will advance to the championship round set on Thursday at the Palau National gym while the losers will battle for third place tomorrow at the same venue.
